If you look at the verses surrounding those ones (particularly Job 2:1-3), you will see these are two separate occasions. Satan is allowed to test Job, and then subsequently allowed to test Job further.
Would you say that this is just the style of writing? Are there any other similar examples?
I don't think this is a stylistic issue (though that is the case with the repeated creation accounts in Genesis). I think this is truly a chronological time difference. Sometimes we say the say thing but at different times - it makes sense to you if you read the entire context at once.
