How you think is significant . . . Life changing, global thought views . . . Truth will always be truth, no matter what doctrine is imposed . . . Summary from other pages:

It's not important what you think.  Man thinks a lot of things.  What's important is what God has *said*  . . . Give more authority to the Word of God than to your own thoughts.

"For the word of God is living and active.  Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart."  Heb 4:12

"Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting." Gal 6:7-8

This body is not yours:  "Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires." Gal 5:24

What does it mean that Jesus Christ is the cornerstone? . . . http://www.gotquestions.org/Jesus-Christ-cornerstone.html

We need to acknowledge how purpose and pattern go together. Behind every pattern revealed by God, there are divine purposes, which are fulfilled to the extent we follow His pattern . . . God reveales a pattern (instructions, law).  If we ignore it, Gods purposes are not carried out . . . This is not a matter of being conservative, it is a matter of being right. This isn't just about continuing to do what those men believed in, who started a local church in a community, it is about continuing steadfastly in the apostles doctrine (Acts 2:42). When we follow God's pattern, because we love God, want to honor Christ and carry out divine purposes - this is not the mentality of a Pharisee, this is the mentality of a servant who wants to obey the Lord . . . http://www.bible.ca/ef/expository-hebrews-8-5.htm

Is Your Professor Wise? - YouTube - Professors, by nature, are skeptics, and promote doubt, to keep themselves in business - They have to give the appearance of always bringing something new to the table. Just because they have the title of Professor doesn't mean that they're wise. Put your trust and faith in the King James Bible, and live with assurance from God . . . http://youtu.be/BBpRWpAbEM4

. . . The Book of Acts serves as a transition from the Old Covenant of law-keeping to the New Covenant of grace and faith. This transition is seen in several key events in Acts. First, there was a change in the ministry of the Holy Spirit, whose primary function in the Old Testament was the external "anointing" of God’s people, among them Moses (Numbers 11:17), Othniel (Judges 3:8-10), Gideon (Judges 6:34), and Saul (1 Samuel 10:6-10). After the resurrection of Jesus, the Spirit came to live in the very hearts of believers (Romans 8:9-11; 1 Corinthians 3:16), guiding and empowering them from within. The indwelling Spirit is the gift of God to those who come to Him in faith . . . http://www.gotquestions.org/Book-of-Acts.html

Many think that wallowing in the fact that we're sinners is the natural state of Christianity.  This is false - We are slaves to righteousness!  See Romans 6 . . .

God sent Jesus to earth, so that He could know the pain and suffering that we experience.

The Purpose of the gospel is to get you away from idols - the world, the flesh, the devil . . . and to put you in touch with God, through His Word . . . Jesus taught us to love God first, and your neighbor as yourself . . . The challenge is that people don't want to hear that they're bad, a sinner in need of a Savior, and that they need to repent - Most will reject this message.

The goal:  Give up sin, get the mind of Christ, get the Living water.

As a slave of righteousness (Ro 6), no other behavior is possible.

"Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results." Albert Einstein . . . How does this thinking relate to overcoming sin? . . . For the Christian, making sure that your life conforms to the Word of God (doing the same thing over and over again) will eventually get you the desired, Biblical result . . . To the extent that your life does not conform to the Word of God, you are insane . . . and, you can see the level of insanity in other people's lives this way, also.

What is theodicy? . . . Theodicy is the branch of theology which defends God's goodness and justice in the face of the existence of evil. In the course of time, many have questioned the apparent inconsistency of God. Why would a just and loving God create a system in which evil is so pervasive? . . . http://www.gotquestions.org/theodicy.html

The Exercise:
To "be transformed by the renewing of your mind" (Ro 12:2) and to "take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ" (2Co 10:5)

1.) Think and speak these truths throughout the day
2.) See, hear, and sense Jesus saying these truths to you
3.) Visualize what you look like when you manifest these truths, especially in the context of where you tend to manifest your "old self"
4.) Copy and paste them from the xls file into the reminder software of your cell phone, desktop calendar software, or PDA, to be reminded of at least one of them per day
5.) Give more authority to the Word of God than to your own thoughts

"For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart." (Heb 4:12)

Words don't mean anything?

Words are like the ski posts that you go through down a hill - they are like guides vs. not having guides. Everyone has a different run, due to ability, strength, muscles, and experience . . . but you can get together in the same place through them.

Logic and Reason has taught us to question, but the Bible tells us to ask for things.  Ask and you shall receive.  This is the opposite of questioning.
