Why is it significant, and important, to believe that Jesus was the Son of God? How is he seen by other worldviews, and why?

How do we account for these different views?
Answer: It is man's nature to want to make God closer to what he's like, and Lucifer wants to actually be worshiped by God - so they equalize and degrade the Deity of Christ
The price of hell is a sacrifice that is from infinity - Jesus was the perfect sacrifice - If Jesus were not God, not from eternity, then His sacrifice on the cross was meaningless - Jesus had to be God

So, apparently . . . Mormon's put on a good show, and only think of Jesus as a "high angel" . . . This implies:
. . . 1.) They think of themselves as being God
. . . 2.) They do not see Jesus as someone to whom they will have to give an account of their lives in the end
I think this would be the same thing with the Jehovah's Witnesses

Joseph Smith was a polytheist. History of the Church 6:474 records Smith stating, "I wish to declare I have always and in all congregations when I have preached on the subject of the Deity, it has been the plurality of Gods." Joseph Smith declared that "God himself was once as we are now, and is an exalted man, and sits enthroned in yonder heavens!" (Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, 345). This is clearly not the biblical God.
