Man is made in the image and likeness of God.  Marriage is intended by God to be an image of the Trinity.  It is the union of three persons, not two.  Man and woman are one with each other and one with the person of Jesus Christ.

Marriage is like the Trinity

In the temporal world, though, there is a chain of command, so it's a little different.  The man is the head of the woman, Christ is the head of the man.

With God, the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are co-equal.

Eph 5:22-25 "Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.  For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church:  and he is the savior of the body.  Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so [let] the wives [be] to their own husbands in every thing.  Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;"

Man being the "head" of the woman is not meant as being oppressive.  The Greek word used there for "head" is kephalē, or cephale.  Paul is using a military term - an innovation in battle was that instead of charging at the enemy in a line, they would form a V to pierce the line of the enemy.  There was one man at the tip of that V, the "head," or cephale.  The implication from this metaphor is that the woman is behind the man in battle, and she has to be in lock step with him, otherwise they're dead.  Likewise, the man has to be in lock step behind Christ as the head.

Christ as the "head" of the man in battle is not specified in these verses:

Ephesians 6:10-18 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. In Christian Marriage:

Christ is the head of the Man.  Man is the head of the woman.

In a Christian home, Christ is the head of the home, and is the head of the man.  The husband is the head of the woman, and has authority over the woman, and children.  His role is to keep the family together.

Marriage is meant to be a picture of the Trinity - It creates the family - and there is a battle on against it, from the devil.

Abuse of the authority structure by men gives the Illuminati traction to exploit it, by calling it an oppressive, primitive system . . . Even if it looks like that, though, you can't just throw out the whole system, because God has said to do it.

The Devil seeks role reversal in everything.  This is why you see women today usurping the authority of the man.  This is how Satan rebels against God, by destroying things.

We are not to make that judgement about the spirit of people, but we are to judge the natural, and that's what we're doing when saying this.

Why is the sin of homosexuality worse than the sin of murder? . . . If you kill a man (murder) vs. If you reject the Holy Spirit (homosexuality)

Murder is tragic, of course, but forgivable.

Homosexuality is not like other sins, though - God calls it an abomination.  Reason:  It's along the same lines as blasphemy of the Holy Spirit, the one, unforgiveable sin.  It's not in His plan.  It is foreign, sin rebellion.  The image of God is male and female - that's why you can make a case that homosexuality is worse than murder.

Also - the overriding theme of the Bible is to always choose life, or things that promote life.  If when you say to "murder," that means one person, compare that to say if you take school rooms of children across the country, and teach them that homosexuality is ok.  Suppose those kids are encouraged to experiment with it, they get corrupted into it, and choose that sexual behavior for life - the won't have any kids, because two guys or two girls can't have a baby - so essentially, you have murdered them.  And through this teaching that it's ok, probably more than one will be "murdered" - more life is lost than through a regular murder, so that's why homosexuality is worse than murder, just take a look at the numbers.

Jesus told the pharisees, who attributed his miracles to using the power of Satan, to be unforgivable:

Mark 3:20 - 30 Then Jesus entered a house, and again a crowd gathered, so that he and his disciples were not even able to eat. When his family heard about this, they went to take charge of him, for they said, "He is out of his mind." And the teachers of the law who came down from Jerusalem said, "He is possessed by Beelzebub! By the prince of demons he is driving out demons." So Jesus called them and spoke to them in parables: "How can Satan drive out Satan? If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. If a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand. And if Satan opposes himself and is divided, he cannot stand; his end has come. In fact, no one can enter a strong man's house and carry off his possessions unless he first ties up the strong man. Then he can rob his house. I tell you the truth, all the sins and blasphemies of men will be forgiven them. But whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven; he is guilty of an eternal sin." He said this because they were saying, "He has an evil spirit."

Those speaking against the son of man can be forgiven, but those speaking against the Spirit are not:

Matthew 12:30-32 "He who is not with me is against me, and he who does not gather with me scatters. Therefore I tell you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven. And whoever says a word against the Son of man will be forgiven; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come."

Let’s look at what this marriage analogy means on every level.  Each of us - male and female - are created with a trinity of our own - like our Creator.  Our trinity consists of three levels:  body, mind, and spirit.  Our relationship to Christ informs each level, making us not only more like Him, but more like the spouse we were created to be.

No.  The one unforgivable sin is blasphemy of the Holy Spirit.  This can take two forms, that I can think of:

1.)  Verbal rejection of the Holy Spirit (ie. cursing God, rejecting Him)

2.)  Physical rejection of the Holy Spirit - through Homosexuality

. . . check out all occurrences of this word, and how it's used . . . "abomination" occurs 76 times in 69 verses in the KJV

So, according to this article, anyone that has self-pride, lied, shed innocent blood, devises wicked plans (millions of these), runs to evil, lies (again), or sows discord has committed an unforgivable sin.

Have you ever done any of these?  What other abominations are you guilty of?  According to this logic, you can't be forgiven.

So, it's not politically correct to speak against homosexuality, and we can't do anything about it.  What does the Bible say about how to deal with this?  It seems like there should be some godly way to be psychologically disconnected from it.

How should we be in the world but not of it?

Ro 12:1-3 . . . Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God--this is your spiritual act of worship.  Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.  Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is--his good, pleasing and perfect will.  For by the grace given me I say to every one of you:  Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the measure of faith God has given you.

We are the temple of the Holy Spirit:

Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ himself?  Shall I then take the members of Christ and unite them with a prostitute?  Never!  Do you not know that he who unites himself with a prostitute is one with her in body?  For it is said, "The two will become one flesh."  But he who unites himself with the Lord is one with him in spirit.  Flee from sexual immorality.  All other sins a man commits are outside his body, but he who sins sexually sins against his own body.  Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God?  You are not your own; you were bought at a price.  Therefore honor God with your body.

Jesus will never leave us or forsake us:

Conclusion:  Don't judge, leave that to God, but we are called to warn them.  Love the sinner, hate the sin.  A good way is to share a gospel tract . . .

I see it as an example of how Postmodernism works to keep one from getting a grip on what Truth is.  It confuses you, and keeps you there.  Is it the work of the devil?  I say, yes.  This would be in contrast to God's Word, which makes things black and white.

I like comedy, but the eternal destiny of people's souls is at stake.  I think we have to look at this as a tactic of the devil to soften our look at this sin, distract from Jesus, and capture people's minds through indifference.

Somewhere I heard that it's illegal to do comedy or tell jokes in China - per their Communist regime.  I have intended to look into this . . . Imagine if comedy were illegal in the United States.  How would this change our mindset?
